RAINSOFT EC5 Water Conditioning System The EC5 carries a lifetime warranty on all parts and internal softening resin to the original purchaser. The unit is demand-initiated and will only clean itself when the homeowner has used enough water, thereby saving them on water, salt, and electricity. If no water is used at the property, the system will only clean once every 14 days to ensure proper resin quality. The EC5 will hold 200 lb of sodium chloride or potassium chloride salt, whichever the customer prefers, and can be switched at a later date should they change their mind. The system has an alarm which will alert the homeowner that it is below 1 bag of salt (50lb) so they can purchase salt in time before it runs out. The unit can be without power for 2 weeks without losing its internal programming so power surges won't accidentally clear necessary program settings.
